Link to WinShape FoundationTruett and Jeannette Cathy started WinShape Foundation in 1984, a non-profit organization and charitable foundation with a simple but profound goal: to “shape winners.”[br] [br] The Cathy’s original vision to encourage outstanding young people has greatly expanded over the last 20 years. The WinShape Foundation now supports a family of growing ministries, all driven by the same mission of shaping individuals to be winners.
WinShape College Programs
Link to WinShape College ProgramsThe WinShape College Program exists to cultivate college students who will develop disciples, create community, and launch leaders to impact every generation.[br] [br] The WinShape College Program helps to provide scholarships of up to $32,000 toward eight semesters of tuition for eligible students to attend Berry College in Rome, GA. Today, the WinShape College Program boasts over 800 participants!
WinShape Camps
Link to WinShape CampsThe mission of WinShape Camps is to impact young people and families through experiences that will enhance their Christian faith, character and relationships.[br] [br] Since 1985, when Truett Cathy founded WinShape Camps with the hopes of creating a camp experience that went just a little deeper, WinShape Camps have sought to shape young people through awesome camp environments that challenge campers to sharpen their character and deepen their faith and relationships.
WinShape Homes
Link to WinShape HomesThe purpose of WinShape Homes is to accept children, God’s special gifts, into a Christ-centered family and to guide them on a lifelong journey so they may discover their unique and God-given potential.[br] [br] WinShape Homes was founded in 1987 to provide a loving, nurturing home to those children who are victims of circumstance and need a stable, secure family environment in which to grow and mature. WinShape Homes provides these children with opportunities to grow physically, spiritually and emotionally through a staff of 22 full-time parents who care for the children in one of eleven homes.
WinShape Wilderness
Link to WinShape WildernessWinShape Wilderness’s purpose is to glorify God by creating adventurous experience that encourage transformation.[br] [br] Since its inception in 1991, WinShape Wilderness provides opportunities to experience adventure through rock climbing, canoeing, backpacking, Challenge Courses and retreats. Participants come from all walks of life, including youth groups, college students, corporate training programs, marriage groups and more.
WinShape Retreat
Link to WinShape RetreatFounded in 2003, the mission of WinShape Retreat is to create a caring, safe place for growth and transformation.[br] [br] Located in the foothills of the Appalachians on Berry College’s campus in Rome, GA, WinShape Retreat is the fulfillment of a vision to create a Christian pastoral environment that ministers to the physical, spiritual and emotional needs of people in the world today. It provides an opportunity to slow down and connect with your spouse, your team or just yourself.
WinShape Marriage
Link to WinShape MarriageThe purpose WinShape Marriage is to strengthen marriages and encourage a marriage movement. [br] [br] WinShape Marriage is comprised of four programs: Prepare to Last, Strengthen, Couples in Crisis and Adventure. [br] [br] [ul] [li] [b]Prepare to Last[/b] is a weekend-long premarital boot camp held at WinShape Retreat. [/li] [li] [b]Strengthen[/b] provides three weekend getaway options, each held at WinShape Retreat, for couples who want to have a romantic adventure, restore communication or simply get away for the weekend to spend time together.[/li] [li] [b]Couples in Crisis[/b] is a four-day intensive counseling program for couples to save, heal and restore their marriage. [/li] [li] [b]Adventure[/b] provides a marriage enrichment opportunity to sail the Mediterranean on the S.V. Royal Clipper in May of 2011. [/li] [/ul]
WinShape International
Link to WinShape InternationalThe mission of WinShape International is to mobilize leaders to transform young people and communities around the world.[br] [br] WinShape International is WinShape Foundation’s newest program to reach out and equip motivated young adults to become Christian leaders in their own cultures. It provides opportunities for Chick-fil-A Operators and corporate staff to have meaningful overseas experiences. WinShape International pursues leadership projects that are sustainable, reproducible, measurable and beneficial over a long period of time.
